Spring Garden Original Collage

Spring Garden is one of the more complicated collages I've made.  It incorporates painted elements as well as detailed collage flowers and little garden creatures. Snails, ants, butterflies and bees oh my! See how many you can find! 

All paper used to create the images was hand-printed using a gel plate, acrylic paints, stencils and natural elements including flowers, leaves, weeds and grasses.  After pulling the prints the papers are torn and cut into the desired shapes and pieced together.  Papers are adhered to the substrate with an archival matte gel medium.  This piece is on a wooden panel.
