Fox Original Collge

Frederick Fox - Freddy for short - was one of the first animal collages I made and remains my favorite. His orange fur captures the eye as he stands on a rocky terrain with a sun shining brightly behind him. His face is peaceful but make no mistake - he is a fierce little fellow that can be off in a flash after an unsuspecting squirrel or rabbit!

All paper used to create the images was hand-printed using a gel plate, acrylic paints, stencils and natural elements including flowers, leaves, weeds and grasses.  After pulling the prints the papers are torn and cut into the desired shapes and pieced together.  Papers are adhered to the substrate with an archival matte gel medium.  This piece is on canvas.
