Cat in Pot Original Collage

This little black and white cat was inspired by my cat, Kale, who has big yellow eyes and sweet little white paws.  She is captured peeking out of an abstract collage pot created with tones of browns, reds and greens. Her eyes are playful and mischievous! The paper used for her paws has a bit of a fuzzy texture. 

All paper used to create the images was hand-printed using a gel plate, acrylic paints, stencils and natural elements including flowers, leaves, weeds and grasses.  After pulling the prints the papers are torn and cut into the desired shapes and pieced together.  Papers are adhered to the substrate with an archival matte gel medium.  This piece is on a wooden panel.
